Scott Thomas - Principal Geophysicist

Scott Thomas - Prin. Geophysicist PhD AIPG CPG-12004

Scott joined Condor Consulting as a senior geophysical consultant in August 2007. Since then he has been involved with processing and assessment of airborne electromagnetic data, for gold, base metals and nickel projects in Canada, West Africa and Brazil.

Scott formed Thomas Consulting in early 2006. He provided geophysical recommendations, survey design, data processing for gravity and magnetics data;, designed potential field and EM surveys, performed magnetic and gravity 2D modeling for gold, copper and uranium exploration.

Prior to forming Thomas Consulting, Scott worked for 11 years with Placer Dome, based in Reno Nevada where he was senior geophysicist for the USA, Central and South America. Designed, recommended, and executed the geophysics that enabled the mapping of ore controls and lithologies. Used numerous geophysical techniques including magnetic, gravity, resistivity/IP, CSAMT, magnetotellurics, seismics and down-hole geophysics. Interpreted new and previously acquired data. Recommend drill targets or follow-up actions on projects.

Scott attended the University of Arizona, receiving a PhD. in Geophysical Engineering; topic was 'Research is high accuracy subsurface imaging using electrical methods'.
